Time for Paddington VolunteeringWelcome to Time for Paddington, the bespoke online volunteering programme for Paddington Waterside. About Time for Paddington As new companies, employees and residents settle into their new location, they have an important contribution to make to the local area as well as much to gain from getting to know their new neighbours. Time for Paddington has been created as part of the Pride of Place programme to integrate the new occupants of Paddington Waterside into the wider community. Time for Paddington acts as a broker between potential volunteers and receiving organisations. We help volunteers find what they are looking for and assist the local voluntary and community sector to work in partnership with the private sector. How to get involved Successful volunteering opportunities benefit the employee, the company and the community organisation. Volunteering is open to all and could be almost anything. People can volunteer individually or as a team, using their work skills or doing something completely different. Volunteering opportunities can be short or long term with varying levels of responsibility. Whatever you are looking for, we will help you to find it. Through volunteering people can share skills, knowledge and resources with a whole host of organisations. In return, they gain the satisfaction that they are working towards a better local community whilst simultaneously improving their own skills and adding to their personal development. This site has been designed to help you through the entire volunteering process, from thinking about what you want to do, where you want to do it and finally placing you with your chosen community or voluntary organisation:
Who runs Time for Paddington? Time for Paddington has been established as a partnership between Paddington Waterside Partnership as part of its 'Pride of Place' programme, and Volunteer Centre Westminster (formerly Westminster Volunteer Bureau) as part of the Bureau's award-winning employee volunteering scheme 'Time and Talents for Westminster'. The programme is supported by the Paddington Social & Community Fund. Time for Paddington is managed by Kate Wilcox who works at Volunteer Centre Westminster. Kate is available to discuss any aspect of volunteering opportunities at Paddington Waterside. If you have a specific query or cannot find what you are looking for on the Time for Paddington pages, please contact Kate on 020 7313 1478 or email kate_wilcox@inpaddington.com
